The Helmeczy Mihály Primary School within the confines of the KIP on Learning winner pedagogical project invites participants for an unconventional workshop. The central theme of the workshop is board games and their application in a Complex Instruction Programme as well as an exhibition and practical use of LEGO math kits.
During the workshop, participants can learn about the Maths educational kits for primary school pupils developed by LEGO. The kit is developing a number of skills and abilities beyond the basic mathematical knowledge, that’s why it is usable for the development of mathematical competencies. The use of different board games in school lessons forms an integral part of the Complex Instruction Programme. It develops not only logical thinking but also social skills of children, and teaches patience and cooperation.
