European Regional Development Fund
The Research Institute for National Strategy with its three partner institutions (Regional development agency Komárno, Association Veľké Kapušany and Surrounding and Rába – Duna – Vág EGTC) has received support for cross-border network cooperation of stakeholders in herbal industry, within the frame of the Interreg V-A Slovakia-Hungary Cooperation Programme.
The 16-month project aims to map the herbal market in the Hungarian-Slovakian border region and to analyse its position on the basis of which a cross-border advisory and training network is established. Additional objective is to improve the profitability of the herbal sector and to expand the employment and income opportunities of the disadvantaged border region. For these reasons, marketing campaigns and events, exchange of experiences and the creation of a network of contacts are necessary.
