The Association Ipoly-Táj területfejlesztési Társulás and thre City of Balssagyarmat are organising a water family day in Balassagyarmat on 19th August 2019.
Content
The Association Ipoly-Táj Területfejlesztési Társulás and the City of Balassagyarmat cordially invite you to Balassagyarmat, 19 August 2019, for an event called Ipoly Party Water Family Day. The event is supported by the project “Rowing in One River”, code SKHU/1601/1.1/160.
The venue of the event is the section of the river by the foot of the bridge in Balassagyarmat and the “truck terminal” located next to it.
The purpose of the event is to introduce the value of water and the opportunities offered by the River Ipoly. We also invite citizens of the Slovenské Ďarmoty as partners.
The family day includes kayaking, canoeing, water games, fishing competition, fish soup cooking competition. Those interested can try out what can be made of rushes and reeds. In addition, we place special emphasis on exploring the opportunities offered by the River Ipoly, its
changing role throughout history, and the opportunities it offers. All day long, with games and a buffet, we welcome everyone, regardless of age, gender, or nationality - we guarantee that we will provide a lasting experience for everyone!

09:00 Opening ceremony:
09:30 Presentation of the project “Rowing in One
River”.
10.00 Start of fish soup cooking competition.
10.00 Rowing on the Ipoly, meeting with Slovak
partners
From 10:00 continuously: Family and children's programs with professionals of the Kálmán Mikszáth Community Center, water slide, castle, water boat, paper boat folding, floating, asphalt drawing about experiences on watre, crafts: what can be done from reeds and rushes?
11:00 Water World of the Ipoly River
12:00 Cycling skill competition
13.00 Common lunch. For anyone who has collected at least 5 raffles.
16:00 Announcement of results - fishing competition / fish soup competition
17.00 Wreathing of the River Ipoly
17.15 Closing ceremony with music, concert.
A buffet, health and social services are available throughout the day.
