The main objective of the project is to increase the attractiveness of the border region by development of complex tourism destinations with unique attractions.

Within the project, partners are focusing on the development of cross-border destinations. In the municipality of Zádiel, in the Slovak Karst in Slovakia, there will be created a tourist information center and museum and in the municipality of Szabolcsveresmart, close to Lake Rétköz in Hungary, there will be created a modern Skyrider attraction.

The project focuses on building new attractions and developing tourism infrastructure in the location to diversify the offer of the destination. These developments provide the destinations with a competitive advantage and serve as the new attractor to the location. Increased visitation will raise awareness about the destination itself and should help to prolong the stay of tourists there.

The project’s results are dependent on its cross-border character. The joint marketing campaign should help to increase tourists visits to these destinations from both countries. Project partners also plan to develop a touristic card to motivate tourists to visit both unique attractions and spend their time in both destinations.
