The main objective of the project is to improve tourist attractions and to increase the number of visitors of the two regions by reconstructing the Forgách Castle in Mándok and Eszterházy Castle in Galanta. By exploring interrelationships between the Forgách and the Eszterházy families, the project will provide unique experiences for those interested in cultural tourism.
Within the project, the loft of the Forgách Castle in Mándok will be reconstructed. The reconstruction will create 10 rooms serving accommodation purposes and an exhibition room which will exhibit historical furniture. In the reconstructed Eszterházy Castle in Galanta, a restaurant will be created, which will exhibit objects of high historical value to provide guests with a more sophisticated and high-quality service.
As part of the project, a thematic website and mobile application will be developed, based on the common history of the Esterhazy and the Forgach families. The application will include, among others, a tourist map - from Galanta to Mándok - with sites that played a key role in the common history of the two familes. After visiting all the sites within the application, the project partners will provide special offers to the tourists.
