On August 11, Sunday in Litke we provide opportunity to try water sports and facilities, individual rowing or guided tours for the habitants of Litke and the neighbourhood.
Content
The Water Family Day at the Rárós Leisure Park, near the village of Litke, will be held on the northernmost, well-paddled stretch of Ipoly. Here, the width of the riverbed allows for water hiking. Litke is the northernmost partner of the “River Rowing” project. Part of the purpose of the Family Day is to introduce not only the people living in the area but also the hikers on the Ipoly River to this less-discovered part of the river.
The location is accessible by car, but if you arrive by public transport the riverside is only a nine hundred meters away from the bus station.
Here you can get on board from a stable dock. For those who want to try the SUP this shallow and mudless part of the river is ideal. To get knowledge and good adventure well experienced persons help to the intrested ones. In case of need we provide slovakian translation.
To the Family Day the habitants of Litke and its neighbourhood and the surrounding slovakian villages get invitations. We share the invitation on Facebook and the official web page of Ipolytölgyes, because the event is public and we welcome everone who is intrested.
The aim of the Family Day is to make water hiking more popular among the people who relax in the Ráros leisure park and the Ráros youth camp. Boats can also be rented from the municipality of Busince or from the Robinson Island in Szécsény.
Thanks to the ' Rowing in one river' project visitors get possibility to try two-, three- and four-persons canoes, and one- and two-perons kayaks. For this event the visitors can even try the SUP.
For those who want maximum safety we recommend the electric motorboat which is recieved by the project.
Those who want to paddle up on the river can go to the next weir which is 900mr away from the location of the Family Day.
At the event, we will provide information on services and infrastructure development under the “Rowing in one river” project and our water hike development program covering the entire Hungarian section of the Ipoly River. Starting from September 1st, the full-capacity of the project will create the conditions for a week-long water tour on the Ipoly. The section starting from Litke is recommended for the advanced, but down to the Danube there are sections for all kinds of needs.
