The handover ceremony of the factory hall for industrial hemp processing in Barabás completed in the framework of the project FUTURE IN HEMP - CCP (SKHU/1802/3.1/013) is a completed investments of the Territorial Action Plan, Future in Hemp. The event is organised by Érmellék Centrum Közösségi Nonprofit Kft., Barabás and the Research Institute for National Strategy, Budapest on Thursday, 01 December 2022.
The aim of the event is to showcase the factory hall for industrial hemp processing in Barabás, as one of the first completed investments of the Territorial Action Plan, Future in Hemp.
The investment project is part of an action plan aimed at reducing unemployment. Another objective is to develop an economy based on local assets. The basic resource of the action plan is industrial hemp, a crop with a long tradition which can be grown efficiently and in accordance with ecological principles. Industrial hemp is modern, competitive, in growing demand and is used in a wide range of industries, such as food, cosmetics, textiles, construction and health.
