On the 30th of January 2019 was held a final press conference in Kráľovský Chlmec for a cross-border project called Creating the possibility of E-Radiology Cooperation between hospitals in Miskolc and Kráľovský Chlmec.
Main objective of the project was strengthening the two hospitals‘ professional cooperation with the development of radiology through teleradiology.
The implementation of the project has contributed to the better use of human resources and technical equipment, more efficient operation and the development of science and education contacts. The result of the project is the ability of the Hungarian and Slovak partners to apply the method of teleradiology and teleconsulting system.
The implementation of the project involved the procurement of hardware and software needed to implement PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System). PACS is a technology for managing, archiving, displaying and sharing image documentation such as X-ray, magnetic resonance, and CT images.
Joint implementation of the project by partner hospitals enabled knowledge sharing, which contributed to better access to quality health care.
During implementation of the project was realized 10 workshops and 1 scientific conference in order to develop professional capacities of staff in radiology.
The project was funded by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund. The total budget of the project was 430 126,95 EUR of which 365 607,90 EUR was a contribution from the European Regional Development Fund.
