The “SKHU IT EDUCATION” project is a reason to be proud for several reasons. The main goal of the project was to increase the digital competencies and skills of primary and secondary school pupils in the Košice Region and the Boršod-Abovská-Zemplín County. Here are some highlights that highlight the importance of this successful project:

  1. Trainings and workshops - The project conducted 15 trainings and workshops, which included various topics such as the integration of Lego SPIKE and Wedo2 robotics into teaching materials, the implementation of LEGO robotics education with regard to the needs of the IT sector, and the use of EduSCRUM for preparing students for the IT labor market. These trainings helped teachers and students acquire important skills and knowledge.
  2. Cross-border competitions - The organization of two cross-border LEGO competitions gave students the opportunity to present their robotics skills and show their creativity and innovation.
  3. Robotics Summer Camp - This initiative allowed students to have more intensive experiences with LEGO robots and gave them the opportunity to improve their skills and abilities.
  4. Curriculum Development - The creation of bespoke curriculum plans enabled the further development of existing teaching material with specific robotics exercises, helping teachers and pupils to better prepare for the challenges of the digital age.
  5. Interactive classroom in Kulturpark Košice - The creation of this new interactive space helped stimulate students' interest in LEGO robotics technology and programming. This space provides an innovative and stimulating environment for learning, which has a positive impact on the development of digital skills.

These successful initiatives and activities of the “SKHU IT EDUCATION” project play an important role in strengthening the digital competencies and skills of pupils and teachers in both regions. With their help, innovation, creativity, and the preparation of young people for the future challenges of the digital world are supported, which is a source of pride for all involved. Cross-border cooperation is thus a key element that contributes to the development of education and digital skills not only in individual countries but also across their borders.
