Irrigation farming for product safety.
Content
The conditions for safe agricultural production are being worsened by the adverse effects of climate change. About 44% of Hungary's territory is drought-prone. Narrow region, Szigetköz is part of a drought-stricken area. Due to the extreme weather and the decreasing rainfall, the water and nutrient supply of the plants can be ensured by irrigated farming. Irrigation can have detrimental effects, so irrigation and nutrient replenishment are performed by professionals with adequate scientific background.
