Results of the consultation on overcoming obstacles in border regions last year

Between September and December 2015 volunteers could fill in a questionnaire about their personal experiences on the obstacles in the border regions all over Europe. This consultation was promoted by Commissioners travelling personally to the border areas, meet the representatives of the local people and have a discussion with them. Mr Erich Unterwurzacher, the director of Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy visited the Slovak and Hungarian border area on the 2nd of October 2015. Within the frames of a roundtable discussion in the Fortress of Komárom, Hungary he collected the main obstacles described by the participants of the meeting.
